Best Wishes Bass - Stampin' Up! Best Catch

A quick post today to share a masculine birthday card.  I'll be sorry to see Best Catch retire but until then I'll try to get a few more cards out of it!

I used the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this layout.  I was proud of myself for using some retired DSP as well as the Crumb Cake Stitched Nested Label I have had sitting in my card parts pile for a while.

I actually have no idea if this fish is a bass or not but I thought the title alliteration sounded good so I went with it!  The bass is stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with Blends.  I cut it and the cattails out with the coordinating Catch of the Day dies.

Using a bit of burlap ribbon and a narrow strip of Soft Sea Foam for the sentiment I created the narrow divide shown in the sketch.  I popped all the other elements on various heights of dimensionals and finished with a few retired candy dots.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

Stamps: Best Catch, Itty Bitty Birthdays

Ink: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow

Blends: Old Olive light, Soft Sea Foam dark, Pool Party dark, Petal Pink light

  1. I love all of these elements together -- the burplap, the dsp , the colors and the bass. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  2. This is fantastic! The perfect masculine card. So glad to see you this week at FMS!
