Flowering Birthday - Stampin' Up! Flowering Rain Boots

Just a quick share today to show off the Flowering Rain Boots bundle.  I'm behind on a few projects and I need to get cracking!

I made this card a few weeks back just to play around with some of the stamps and dies in this cute bundle.  I love that the flowers in the set can be used a few different ways and the the watering can makes a fun vase!

The cool lattice die is fun because you can use it singly or in multiples to create a larger element.  And you get the fun square off cuts to be used if you want also.  Hopefully yours will get adhered more aligned than mine lol!

I'm looking forward to making a lot of pretty spring flower themed cards for birthdays in the next few months.  We've got a lot of gardeners in our family so I think they enjoy cards made with this bundle!

Sweet Hearts - Stampin' Up! Sweet Conversations

Today's card share is another project my stampers made at my last class.  Not much time to left to make and send some Valentine's and the Sweet Conversation bundle is a great choice to use.

We created a bit of a collage like card with different elements from the stamps and dies.  This one starts with a Smoky Slate base to balance some of the bold red and pink of the Sweet Talk DSP.  Then the "XO" is stamped on a piece of Basic White in Smoky Slate to create a background.

Some hearts are cut out of Brushed Rose Gold paper and Real Red.  The banner is also cut from Real Red along with a stamped Blushing Bride heart.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray and hand trimmed. The final details is a Real Red faux linen ribbon knot on the banner.

Blended Rainbow - Stampin' Up! Rainbow of Happiness

I had my monthly class yesterday and my stampers made this sweet rainbow card using the Rainbow of Happiness bundle.  It's a nice cheerful card for these cold winter days.

This card starts with a Pool Party base with the sweet sentiment embossed in white in the corner.  Then a piece of Basic White is cut on an angle (so you can see the sentiment) using the Basic Borders dies to make the cloud like edge.

The rainbow pieces are die cut out of Basic White thick using the Brilliant Rainbow dies and then colored using ink pads and blending brushes.  Once the color was blended on the little stamped patterns are added over the top using the same color ink (all listed below).  The rainbow pieces are then adhered to the white cloud panel.  A piece of crinkled seam binding ribbon is tied across the bottom of the panel and then the whole thing is adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

A few iridescent rhinestones placed around the sentiment are the final touch for this card.

Friendly Birthday - Stampin' Up! Friendly Hello

I almost forgot to post this card that we made at my Jan.- June 2022 mini catalog and Sale-a-Bration kickoff 2 weeks ago. To see other class project we made click HERE.  If you're interested in joining my in person classes in the Richmond, VA area just give a shout in the comments or fill out this form and we can connect!

Sale-a-Bration is always a favorite time of year for me!  I love that my stampers can earn fun new products for free.  This year the Friendly Hello set is one of the rewards and it's paired with the lovely Friendly Hello DSP for a $100 level reward!  Now is the time of year to stock up on basics like envelopes, cardstock and adhesives and get Sale-a-Bration rewards.

I pulled the colors for this card right from the Friendly Hello DSP.  We started with a Pool Party base and then added a strip of DSP that shows all of the colors.

Then we stamped the bird and flowers in Memento black.  The bird is colored with Pool Party Blends markers and the flowers are colored with inkpads and sponge daubers.  It's a quick, no fuss way of coloring and gives a nice relaxed look.  After coloring we added a piece of Granny Apple Green to the back then adhered it to the card front.

The sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia and popped up on dimensionals over a piece of white Frayed ribbon for some fun texture.

Monkey Business Birthday - Stampin' Up! Catch You Later

Just a quick share today to show a fun birthday card.  I'm getting ready for my monthly class so there is lots of activity to get set up to stamp with 2 different groups.

The Catch You Later set caught my eye in the mini catalog because of the cute animals.  I wanted a casual, non-floral set to be able to color.

I used not only the new Catch You Later set but also the new embossing folder Stripes & Splatters.  For this card I used the stripes one on the Crumb Cake strip at the top of the card.  The DSP is also new and you can earn it for free during Sale-a-Bration.  The Friendly Hello DSP is a lot of floral patterns but also has this great leafy design in Granny Apple Green.

The monkeys are stamped in Memento and colored with Stampin' Blends markers and then die cut in a circle.

I cut a few leaf sprigs in Garden Green with the Forever Flourishing dies and topped that with the sentiment stamped on a piece of Balmy Blue.  A few bright green sequins finish off the details on this quick and easy birthday card.

Framed Hearts - Stampin' Up! Sweet Conversations

I'm sharing a sweet little Valentine's Day card today.  Actually it could be for any time of the year but with the heart day just around the corner it was my inspiration.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for the layout.

I used a Basic White thick card base and then added a piece of Sunshine & Rainbows DSP in a sweet polka dot pattern.

I cut the frame with the Stitched Shapes and Layering Square dies and popped it up with dimensionals.  I stamped the hearts in a few different pastel shades then embossed the outlines in gold.  I die cut them and arranged them around the edge of the frame.

The sentiment from Happy & Heartfelt is also embossed in gold then fussy cut and popped on the larger heart.  I used my Flirty Flamingo marker to color in the little heart.

A few more smaller hearts in the card colors and a retired iridescent sequin finish this card off.

Watercolored Sympathy - Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home

Unfortunately I had the need to make another sympathy card this past week.  This one started as just playing out with some inking techniques to make a background and before I had taken the card in another direction I found out I needed a sympathy card so I used the background I already had made and built the card up from that.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper that I lightly brushed with Soft Succulent reinker and water for a very light band of color down the middle of the paper.  Then I dripped large drops of water and reinker from above for the large splatters.  Once those were dry I flicked smaller drops of reinker for a lighter splatter. When that was dry I inked up the smaller flower stamp in Gray Granite and then stamped off before stamping the water color paper.  Then finally I tore the edges off all the way around the panel for a soft look.

I used a square vellum doily as the base for building up the rest of the elements.  Next are a few sprigs of greenery from Soft Succulent cardstock, then a small strip of retired burlap ribbon.

I stamped the flower in Gray Granite onto another piece of watercolor paper and used Soft Succulent, Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody reinkers to color it.  I die cut with the matching die from Flowers of Home die set and then popped it up on dimensionals over the other elements.

The sentiment from Many Messages is stamped in Gray Granite and then adhered across the card front.  I added a few adhesive pearls to finish the details.

Cheerful Tulip - Stampin' Up! Flowering Tulips

When I saw the new colors over at CAS Colours & Sketches it was a no brainer for me which set I was going to use.  Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight were just asking to be made into a tulip card.  As the challenge is clean and simple I just stamped and didn't add any extras like die cuts but you could certainly step this card up a few notches but it's so pretty all on its own!

I'm thinking this might be a perfect card to make a set of for Easter this year.  Bright and cheerful but easy to mass produce!

I did emboss in black the center of the flower and the sentiment and it's just the right amount of detail.  The sentiment is from the new Happy & Heartfelt set and I just love the script-y font and it embosses so nicely!

Birthday Bicycle - Stampin' Up! Tulip Fields

Only 2 weeks in to the Stampin' Up! 2022 Jan.-June mini catalog and I'm already worried I won't have enough time to stamp with all of the awesome stamp sets I got.  Maybe I ordered too many?? Nah, that's not possible but it is possible to feel that there are just so many creative ways to use them there just won't be enough time to do it all!

I haven't used the Tulip Fields set very much yet but I grabbed it to play along with the Global Design Project's current sketch challenge.  It's a fun one with a center panel to focus on. I've been thinking about making a card with the cute bicycle die in the Windmill Fields die set (it coordinates with the Tulip Fields stamp set) and this sketch seemed like the perfect match.

Did you even notice the bicycle or did you only have heart eyes for the windmill? I noticed the bike right away and figured it would be fun to use on it's own.

I started this scene with a piece of the New Horizons DSP and then added a Basic White square.  On top of that I cut a stitched square from Basic White and did some masking and ink blending to create my sky and grass. Next I added my stamped tree and stamped cloud.

I die cut a few lengths of fencing as well as a cloud and added them to the scene.  Next came the bike.  I cut one on black and one in red and trimmed the black tires, handlebars and seat and glued them to my red bike.  I found a few silver mini brads that retired years ago and added those for some detail to the wheels. The space behind the mini brads is just big enough for a mini dimensional so I used those to pop the bike on to the scene panel.

The last thing to add was the sentiment that I stamped from the Catch You Later set.  It's part of a larger sentiment that I trimmed and then flagged the end and popped it off the back of the bike.

Icy Mountain Encouragement - Stampin' Up! Horizon Dies

It took me a while to get around to using the challenge colors over at Just Us Girls but I'm happy I got to play along.  After dithering about for a bit over what kind of card to make and not feeling it with a few different ideas I landed on using the new Horizon dies and making a snowy/icy mountain scene.

The Horizon dies and coordinating stamp set, On the Horizon along with the New Horizons DSP are not normally my style but I'm enjoying stretching myself a bit to create some beautiful scenes.  The mountain and water shapes work perfectly with the challenge colors of light blue, silver and white.

I started my scene with a piece of Basic White with a circle cut from the top half.  I embossed the panel with the retired Subtle embossing folder and then layered a piece of the Sale-a-Bration Simply Marbleous DSP in Balmy Blue on the back of the cut out circle after stamping a few birds in Night of Navy.  I hope the Navy is ok as I was using it as a neutral and not part of the challenge colors!

Then I cut out 2 mountain shapes along with the matching detailed overlay which I cut out of retired silver glimmer paper.  I layered one directly onto the card front and then offset the other on top and adhered with dimensionals.

Using some more glimmer paper this time in Balmy Blue, I cut a few of the water like shapes and layered them under the mountains with one also popped on dimensionals.

The sentiment from Through it Together is stamped on a narrow scrap and adhered at the edge of the water layers.  Then the whole top panel is adhered to a Basic White thick card base.

CAS Penguin Thanks - Stampin' Up! Penguin Place

I'm taking a break from playing with Jan.-June mini products and going with a carryover stamp set from the just retired June-Dec. mini catalog.  The Penguin Place stamp set is so cute and I didn't get to show it at class when it was new because the punch was so popular we couldn't keep it in stock. I'm glad it's carrying over so I can show it off a bit more.  I saw the newest Paper Players challenge from Claire which is to do a winter animal on a clean and simple card. I think the penguin is about the only animal stamp I have that can be considered winter so that's what I went with!

I was proud of myself for using up a length of retired Balmy Blue ribbon as well as the little embossed penguin which I had leftover from another project and it had been sitting on my desk for a while.  I love putting leftover card parts from different projects onto a new design.  It's so satisfying using up things I already have.

I started with a Basic White thick card base and then used an Adorning Designs decorative mask and my blending brush to get the snowflakes across the card front.  I used Balmy Blue ink and didn't reink my brush as I went so the snowflake got progressively lighter.

The ribbon is tied around the card front and the penguin is popped on dimensionals.  I stamped the hat and scarf in Misty Moonlight and highlighted with clear Wink of Stella then fussy cut.  The sentiment is also stamped in Misty Moonlight.

Hearts Galore - Stampin' Up! Sweet Conversations

My stampers got a little taste of the cute Sweet Conversations bundle this past week at my new catalog kickoff.  There are so many cute dies in this bundle that I had a hard time just picking a few to use when designing this class card.  In the end I couldn't resist the little envelope so I paired it with a few hearts.

I managed to fit a lot of products from this suite on this card in addition to the stamps and dies.  We have the fun Sweet Talk DSP in this fun striped heart pattern, the Real Red Faux Linen ribbon and the Iridescent Rhinestones which will definitely be used a lot on my designs this year!

Less then a month to go to get your Valentine's made and you should really consider the Sweet Conversations bundle and the Sweet Talk suite as a whole.

Sweet Popsicles - Stampin' Up! Sweet Ice Cream

I'm playing along with my friends at The Paper Players and using Anne Marie's fresh color combination!  While my time as a Paper Players guest designer is over I look forward to continuing to play along and be inspired by this super talented bunch of stampers! While I made my card a few days ago I'm just finding time this morning to get it posted and shared.  Just in the nick of time as the challenge closes in a few hours!

As soon as I saw these colors (Just Jade, Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya + a Neutral) I thought of warmer summer days and not this freezing cold winter weather we've been having.  I stamped some popsicles to go along with my summer day dreams!  The Sweet Ice Cream set hasn't seen much ink lately but is always a good choice for a birthday card.

I started with a Basic White thick base, then topped it with a Basic White panel that is embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  Then I cut 1/8" wide stripes and layered them around the edge to create a pretty border to frame out the rest of the elements.

The popsicles are stamped in Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya and Crumb Cake is used for the sticks.

I stamped the sentiment from All Squared Away in all three challenge colors then snipped the words out and mixed and matched them and popped them with dimensionals.

A few Artistry Blooms sequins and a Calypso Coral baker's twine bow finish the details for this card.

Clean & Simple Rainbow - Stampin' Up! Rainbow of Happiness

My card today is one that my stampers made at my Mini Catalog/Sale-a-Bration Kickoff event.  We had fun making a few quick projects and they got to see new stuff in action and all my samples up close.  It was great seeing them and fun to be together again after taking December off.

The Rainbow of Happiness is getting a lot of love out there in stamper land and for good reason.  It's a cute, easy to stamp set that has coordinating dies for even more design possibilities as well as a pack of DSP that can be earned for free during Sale-a-Bration.  Buy the Rainbow of Happiness bundle, add in another $6 (or more) worth of product and you can choose the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP for free!  Win Win!

I used bright, cheerful colors to create the rainbow.  Stamping the larger arch first and then working my way down.  I did the top down approach to make sure I didn't run out of room and for the the final rainbow to be perfectly placed.

A few die cut clouds with one popped on a mini dimensional up finish the rainbow ends.  You can't see it in the photo but the clouds are colored in with clear Wink of Stella for a subtle sparkle. A baker's twine bow accents the sentiment side of card.  The sentiment is also from a new set; Happy & Heartfelt.  I wish my handwriting was this cool and neat!

Otter Birthday Party - Stampin' Up! Awsome Otters

I'm back today with another card made with the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) stamp set Awesome Otters and the Simply Marbelous DSP.  You can earn both for free with an order of $50 or more (before tax/shipping) during January and February!  So cute and so fun.

I needed a birthday card for a family member and decided this little guy would be super cute celebrating with his fun party hat.

I'm using colors from Seize the Birthday challenge my stamping friend Nancy runs this one and it's such a fun idea.  I always need birthday cards so this challenge will get my butt in gear to get some made.  It's birthday cards only  challenges and they have an optional 'toppings' choice each time.  The current challenge is colors which are blue and gray.  Perfect for my guy birthday card!

I've seen this idea around and I couldn't pass up doing one of my own! I started with a Smoky Slate base. I used a sheet of blue Simply Marbleous DSP and then cut a circle in the lower half.  I stamped the otter and hat and then colored them with Blends. The water on the stamp doesn't extend this far so I colored it in and then added some more ripples with my black Stampin' Write marker.  I tucked the otter behind the DSP.  The hat is fussy cut and then popped with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray and then cut into a banner with a bit of new Misty Moonlight cotton ribbon.  I added a few Pool Party sequins and a Misty Moonlight enamel dot for good measure.

Blushing Snowman Thanks - Stampin' Up! Snowman Season

Any reason to stamp is a good reason in my book and even more so lately when the need for cards for various occasions just happens to coincide with all the new products that just came out in the Stampin' Up! 2022 January-June mini catalog!  I love playing with my new stamps and dies and it's even more fun when you can pull out an old favorite and pair it up with a new product for a bit of new life.

I didn't use the Snowman Season at all this past Christmas season.  I used it the last 2 years and I didn't want someone on my card list to end up with a card that looked the same as one they received previously.  I decided to hold off on snowmen until it was time to make Christmas thank you cards.  I used the TGIF Challenges current color combination as inspiration for this one.

This card ended up using a mix of retired, old current and brand new products.  For the retired items I used the Whimsy & Wonder DSP for my shot of Blushing Bride in the background.  The top layer of the die cut thanks and the banner are Be Dazzling specialty paper which was a SAB reward the last time. The Blushing Bride twine and candy dot are both retired embellishments.

Older but still current items used on this card are of course the already mentioned Snowman Season stamp set, Stitched So Sweetly dies for the scalloped rectangle and the snowflake is die cut with the So Many Snowflakes die set.

Now the new item on this card is the really fun Amazing Thanks die set.  The 'thanks' piece cut beautifully even through the thicker Be Dazzling paper and since it's a wider style of font it's not impossible to glue the layers or add mini dimensionals to.  Check it out on page 40 of the mini catalog.  You might overlook but it has some great potential for mixing and matching with other sentiments.

Baby Girl Rainbow - Stampin' Up! Brilliant Rainbow Dies

I needed a congratulations card for a friend who just announced she's pregnant with a baby girl!  So fun and exciting and of course it deserves recognition with a cute card even though we've already blown up the friend text thread with love.

The CAS Colours & Sketches challenge has a fun color combo that works perfectly for a little rainbow up in the clouds!  Highland Heather, Poppy Parade and Petal Pink.

The dies do all the hard work for this card.  I used the Basic Borders dies to make the cloud layers; just cutting the edge off 3 different widths of Basic White cardstock and then layering them with dimensional on the Petal Pink base.

The rainbow was cut with the new Brilliant Rainbow dies using the 3 challenge colors and tucking the ends under the bottom cloud layer.

I added a fork bow made with white crinkled seam binding ribbon.  Check out my YouTube video HERE to learn how to make a fork bow!  It's so easy!

The final thing on this card is actually the only stamping!  I used the new sentiment set; Happy & Heartfelt to add the congratulation in Memento black ink.

Butterfly Silhouttes - Stampin' Up! Amazing Silhouettes

I'm continuing to work through all of my new stamp sets to create samples to show my stampers.  Sometimes you don't realize a stamp sets potential until you see it used in a few designs or stamp with it yourself.  The Amazing Silhouettes stamp set was not one I would have ordered for myself but I received it as a prize during the Stampin' Up! fun demonstrator event On Stage @Home in November.  After using it for a few cards I'm finding I really like the simplicity of the images which work wonderfully with many different sentiments.

My card today is a 'thinking of you' card and I brought the sentiment in from another new set; Flowering Tulips.

I started with a Basic White thick base then added another panel of Basic White that I embossed with the new Stripes & Splatters embossing folder.  This set of 2 folders are the narrow style so they don't embossed a whole card front but I just ran the cardstock through twice and any seam there might be gets covered up by the next layer.

I stamped the butterfly stamp in Pale Papaya, Misty Moonlight and Blushing Bride and then backed that panel with a piece of the 2021-2023 In Color DSP.

The sentiment is also stamped in Misty Moonlight and cut out.  I used a length of the new Cotton Ribbon combo pack behind it and then popped it all up with dimensionals.  The final touch is a Iridescent Basic Rhinestone.

If you're interested in being a part of my demonstrator team and having the opportunity to join in demo only events and win stamp sets now is a great time to join the Stampin' Up! family.  During Sale-a-Bration you get 2 free stamp sets of your choice when you join in January and February in addition to all the products you can chose for your Starter Kit!!  I'm happy to answer any questions you have!  Contact me HERE or join my team HERE.

Otter Valentine - Stampin' Up! Sweet Conversations

Valentine's Day will be here before we know it and it's time to get started on some Valentine's Day cards to send out.  It's always fun to combine sets to make for a cute design.  My colors are inspired by the team over at The Color Hues Challenge.  They are using Red and Purple this time around which is a great combo for Valentine's as well as Red Hat groups lol!

The Sweet Conversations set and the Sale-a-Bration set Awesome Otters are a great team for this bright and cheerful card.

The Sweet Talk DSP has some great reverse side patterns that are perfect backgrounds for images.  I loved this Highland Heather striped pattern and build my card up around it.  The otter is stamped and colored with Blends and then fussy cut.  He/she is standing on a row of die cut hearts and holding 2 other stamped hearts.

The sentiment is from the Awesome Otters set and is cut with the cute little tag die in the Sweet Hearts die set.  I added a little banner in Fresh Freesia topped with a red heart and red gem.  The new Real Red faux linen ribbon ties off the tag for the final touch.

Horizon Sympathy - Stampin' Up! On the Horizon

Unfortunately I've had to make a handful of sympathy cards in the last 2 weeks.  My creativity goes right out the window when faced with having to make a card to acknowledge a family's grief.  The New Horizons DSP and coordinating stamp and die set, On the Horizon made this sad task a bit easier this week.

I'm sharing this one over at the Alphabet Challenge which is on letter 'T' for trees.  The pretty tree silhouette stamps was a good match for this scene.

I let the DSP do all the hard work and just added the trees and birds in black ink and then in the foreground the grass is stamped in Old Olive.

I die cut some grass out of another sheet of the DSP as well as the fencing in Basic White.  I layered them along the bottom part of the card and added some of the new Pebbles Enamel Shapes.  The sentiment is from Many Messages and is stamped in Misty Moonlight.  I had a bit of rough twine in my scraps and wound it around the end  for a bit of texture.

Hello Friend - Stampin' Up! Friendly Hello

My card today features all brand new and FREE products!  The Friendly Hello stamp set and Friendly Hello DSP are a Sale-a-Bration (SAB) reward that you can get for free with $100 order.  They come together as a bundle and coordinate beautifully.

The inspiration I used to make this card comes from the current Global Design Project challenge which is a 'CASE the Designer' theme.  I liked the rectangle panels behind the focal sentiment on the sample card and thought it would be a good opportunity to use some of the smaller accent stamps in the Friendly Hello stamp set.

You can barely see the DSP in the background but it's there peeking out along the edges and that is where I pulled my colors from for the panels.

I stamped the little stamps from the set on the panels and then layered them on the card front a little off kilter like challenge sample card.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and then embossed in black and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  It's such a great size and nice and bold that it can stand on its own.  I popped it up on dimensionals over some retired Pool Party baker's twine.  I fussy cut the flower from one of the other DSP patterns and added that to the side of the sentiment.  The final embellishment is a pair of retired candy dots.

Birthday Boots - Stampin' Up! Flowering Rain Boots

After a bit of break for Christmas and New Years I'm back and ready to share new projects! Today is the start of the Stampin' Up! January - June Mini Catalog as well as the first 2022 Sale-a-Bration!  Now is a great time to order new supplies for your card making this year!  You can see all of the new goodies by visiting my Stampin' Up! store HERE.  Have fun and let me know if you have any questions!

I've been busy stamping samples for my upcoming events using tons of new products.  One of my favorites is the Flowering Rain Boots bundle with an adorable stamp set and coordinating dies that are perfect for all the flower lovers and gardeners in my life.  While the sentiments included in this set are of the more encouraging and supportive nature I find the images are great with a birthday sentiment as well!

The Inspire. Create Challenge has a birthday theme for their current challenge so I'll be sharing this one over there as well.  Isn't this a cheerful color palette?  I love red tulips and they just pop with the fun yellow boots.  I added some smaller details like the silver hand cultivator as well as a bit of linen thread wrapped around one of the pots.

The birthday sentiment I pulled from another new set; Flowering Tulips which is also fantastic but we'll save that one for another day! I layered all of the elements on a piece of the new Flowering Fields DSP.  There may or may not be a heavy flower influence in the coming months!
