Woodland Bear - Stampin' Up!® Woodland Wishes

   I love when seasonal sets can be used out of season!  It really makes you feel that you're getting more bang for your buck when you can use a Christmas stamp set in July to make a non-Christmas card.  I'll have both boys away at school this fall so I've got to beef up my college kid card stash.  The little bear in the Woodland Wishes set was calling my name!

  Thanks to Freshly Made Sketches for the fun square layout to show off this chubby little guy!  I pulled out some scraps from the retired Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop kit and coordinating Sweet Days of Autumn DSP as the colors seemed to be just what I had in mind!

  The card base is Basic White thick, then a layer of Cajun Craze, then the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP.  The Bear is stamped in Memento and then colored with Blends.  He's cute out with a Stylish Shape square die and is backed with a layer of Cajun Craze.  The square is popped on dimensionals.

  For the narrow strip I used another scrap and trimmed the ends.  The sentiment is from the Reason to Celebrate stamp set and is stamped in Memento and punched out with a retired 3/4" circle punch.  I layered the sentiment over a baker's twine bow.

  To finish off this boy friendly card I added a few of the leftover wood grain heart accent pieces from the kit.

Summer Fun Birthday W-Fold - Stampin' Up!® Summer Happiness

 

  Welcome to the New at SU! July blog hop!  We are a group of international Stampin' Up!® demonstrators who gather each month to showcase new projects to help inspire you in your own papercrafting!  This month we are featuring Fun Fold Birthday cards!  To follow the hop all around see the link list at the bottom of my post.

  There are so many fun folds out there it can be hard to choose one but I decided to go with one I had never made before.  The W-fold card is a great one to make when you have a lot of images you want to show off as I did with the Summer Happiness bundle!  All it takes is 3 score lines (besides the card base center fold) and you're in business.

 The front of the card hides the fun of the inside!  I used the Paper Medley DSP for the background and the card base is Basic Beige.  The card base is 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" so the card flips up to open.  I created a belly band to hold the card closed and used the flowers from  the Summer Happiness set to accent the birthday sentiment from the Balloon Festoon set and is embossed in black.  

  When you take off the belly band you get to the fun inside!  On a fun pop up element you get 4 different spots to show off all of your images and more sentiments!

I added another pattern of Paper Medley DSP on the inside.  The pop up element is a 1" x 11" strip of Basic Beige and is scored at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".  The strip is adhered to the top and bottom of the card leaving the middle free to fold open and closed.  See I told you it was easy!  Now for the fun of creating the pop up squares!

  I used Basic White for the base of the squares which are 2 1/4".  You could go slightly larger if needed or change the squares to rectangles for a larger area to work with.  The DSP squares are 2"x2" and make a nice background for the fun summer images.  The sentiment on the sunglass panel is from the Football Fan stamp set.  

  It was fun mixing and matching the different images and dies from this bundle.  I kept to the color palette shown in the DSP; Basic Beige, Calypso Coral, petal Pink and Darling Duckling for a cohesive look for each square.  The sentiment here is from Banner Sayings.

  Some of the elements are highlighted with Wink of Stella which doesn't show well on the photos.  I also used dimensionals to pop some of the images up.  The belly band is helpful to keep the card closed and get it in the envelope.  I would definitely add extra postage to this one or send it in a larger envelope!

   I really enjoyed creating this easy fun fold and showing off so much of a single bundle on one card!  I hope you keep this easy fun fold in mind especially when you can't decide which image to focus on!  You don't have to with the W-Fold!

Let's Go Dukes! - Stampin' Up!® Football Fan

    If you are looking for a football themed stamp set for scrapbooking, cards, invitations or party accessories then the Stampin' Up!® Football Fan stamp set fits the bill!  In addition to some great images you've got some fun sentiments to go along with the sports theme!  I hadn't inked up my set yet so I thought I would get ahead of the fall season and make a card for the college football team we cheer on; the JMU Dukes.  It's my husband's alma mater so we always gear up in our purple and gold and get a good "Goooooo Dukes!" in!  

  A great companion bundle to use with the Football Fan stamp set is the soccer themed Match Day.  The whistle, cone, grass and trophy die cuts along with more sports theme sentiments expands the mix and match opportunities!  

  The Just Us Girls challenge of "play" along with the just closed Freshly Made Sketches layout were inspirations for this design.  I started with a piece of Wonderful Match DSP for the background.  A strip of Gorgeous Grape and narrow strip of Golden Glow draw the eye to the main elements.

  It's been a long time since I've done a "polaroid" style element on a card and the running player seemed like a perfect image to use.  I started with creating the frame by using a rectangle shaped piece of Basic White then using a square die to cut out the inside.  

  The player is stamped on a piece of Basic White that is slightly larger than the opening in the frame.  I stamped the image again on a sticky note and fussy cut it to create a mask so I could lightly blend a bit of Pool Party ink around the player for a nice crisp background.  The image is colored in with Stampin' Blends and then the the frame is added and the whole thing is popped on dimensionals.

  I wanted to use some of the fun "accessory" stamps so I used the pennant, ball and fan hand to add a little cluster at the corner of the "photo".  I added the gold strips to the pennant and highlighted the gold on the player with my Golden Glow Shimmer Brush for some fun sparkle.

  The final touch are some 2026-2028 In Color Dots in the corner and on the fan hand.

Ferdinand and the Flowers - Stampin' Up!® Wild Bunch

   So do you remember the Ferdinand book with the sweet bull who didn't want to fight the other bulls and sat in the field and smelled the flowers? Here is the hand stamped card version lol!  The sweet bull from the product of the month Wild Bunch stamp set looks as content as can be sitting in his field of flowers!

  A challenge started me down this road of bull and flowers.   The Color Dare team has challenged us to use Browns & Blacks plus 2 colors of our choice.  I've used Pecan Pie, Ivory, Basic Beige, Black and Calypso Coral and Barely Blush are my 2 additional colors.

  I started with a Barely Blush card base, then a piece of Paper Medley DSP in a sweet little flower pattern.  I added a narrow scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock along the edge of the DSP.

  I wanted to echo the little flowers on the DSP so I cut a bunch out using the Summer Happiness dies.  I changed out the centers to mix and match.  The flowers are all popped on dimensionals.  I tucked the sentiment flag among the flowers as well.

  The bull is stamped in Hybrid Basic Black ink and then colored him in with Blends markers.  After he was fussy cut I sat him among the flowers then finished off the details.  A little bit more black was brought in with a baker's twine bow and a bit more brown with some Pecan Pie Opaque Faceted Gems.

Smiles for Father's Day - Stampin' Up!® Capturing Smiles

   This time of year is full of hand stamped card worthy events so I'm trying to keep up with them all and working ahead a bit for the ones I need.  Usually I'm a last minute stamper but I'm trying to be more organized by looking ahead on the calendar.  Up next for me is Father's Day and I thought the fun camera and film strip in the Capturing Smiles bundle would be a great masculine card.

 I started with some 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP in a striped Peaceful Pine pattern.  I wanted to use some of the small nature scenes in the stamp set and the green was a good starting point.

 Next I cut 2 of the film strips and added stamped hearts, the sentiment and a beach scene and camping scene after coloring them with Blends markers.

  The camera is stamped on Balmy Blue cardstock with Memento black ink.  I used the Balmy Blue Blends dark marker to highlight a few areas of the camera image and then die cut it.  The lens and lens heart were stamped and die cut and added to the camera.

  I dug around in my retired sentiments to find one that that fit the vibe of the card and came up with Many Manly Occasions from the May 2016 Paper Pumpkin.  I stamped it in Timid Tiger and and trimmed it down to fit the space.  This could easily become a birthday card with a quick change of the sentiment too if you're stuck on a masculine birthday card idea!

  A few retired Faux Glass Dots are a nice simple embellishment to finish this card.

Mother's Day Flora - Stampin' Up!® Extraordinary Flora

   My card today is one I made for Mother's Day but it got buried down in the folder so I think it's high time to share it!  I used a bit of neglected product in the Extraordinary Flora bundle.  I still love this larger stamp with all the different flowers and leaves!

  I pulled together a bunch of different products for this softly colored floral beauty!  The card base and embossed background is Cloud Cover.  The embossing folder is Beautiful Pattern which is currently on the Last Chance list at a discount.  

  Next I stamped the Extraordinary Flora stamp onto a Basic White banner cut with the Party Banner dies.  I used Basic Gray for the stamping as that was a softer look than a black ink.  I used my Stampin' Blends to color the flowers, leaves and filled in the background.  That took a minute but I think the results are worth it.

  The Nature's Symphony dies were used to cut the Soft Sea Foam leaves which are tucked behind the sentiment label.  The sentiment is from the long retired Well Scripted stamp set.  The label is die cut using the retired Tasteful Label die set.

  I stamped an extra flower and colored it and die cut and popped it on dimensionals above the label.  I had a white seam binding fork bow in my stash of ribbon scraps and it fit perfectly in the corner.  A few Pool Party Opaque Faceted Gems match the Cloud Cover pretty closely for the final touch.

Good Things Ferns - Stampin' Up!® Fern & Flora

   Today's card is another one that features the Fern & Flora bundle.  If I haven't convinced you yet to add this bundle to your next order (if you don't already have it!) then keep stopping by to see what else I'm using it for because I think this versatile bundle should be in your stamp collection and I'm going to continue to show how I've been using it!

  This design came about after I saw the colors over at the Inspired By challenge and paired it up with some flowers and ferns!  I started with a Peaceful Pine card base, then a layer of Barely Blush.  On top of the Barely Blush I added a layer of Peaceful Pine embossed with the Fern & Flora embossing folder.  I added some Peaceful Pine ink along the edges using a blending brush.

  The sentiment from Banner Sayings is stamped on a band of Basic White in Secret Sea ink.  Next I cut out a fern in my 3 card colors and tucked them behind a Secret Sea die cut circle.

  The flower image from the Fern & Flora stamp set is stamped in Secret Sea ink and then colored in with Blends markers.  It's die cut then popped on dimensionals on the circle.

  A few 2026-2028 In Color Dots in Barely Blush are added as a final touch.

Berry Sweet Banner - Stampin' Up!® Filled With Sweetness

   Today's card is another one my stampers made at my last class and uses the Filled With Sweetness bundle along with the Party Banners dies for a sweet card to let someone know you love them.

  The card base which you can't see is Basic White thick and that is topped with a piece of Basic White embossed with the Ladybug Picnic embossing folder.

  The Party Banners dies and Misty Moonlight cardstock are used for the banner which will be a base for the other elements.  The little heart is stamped in the corners and Strawberry Slush ribbon is wrapped around with a knot added.  The label shape is die cut twice, once in Crushed Curry the second in Basic White.  The ends are trimmed from the Basic White one, the sentiment stamped in Strawberry Slush and then put back together with the Crushes Curry label for a seamless 2 colored look.

  The berries are stamped and colored with blends and once they are die cut are paired up with one of the jam jar images from the Homemade Sweetness DSP.  My stampers got to choose from the different images in the DSP to make the card their own.  Those that chose the Peach jam swapped the Crushed Curry Label for Calypso Coral.  The berries and jar are popped on dimensionals as is the whole banner.

  The finishing touches are a few Strawberries & Dots embellishments on the banner and some white gel pen highlights on the berries.

Fern Illusion Thank You - Stampin' Up!® Fern & Flora

   My customers are the best and many of them have been supporting my little business for years so I always try to show gratitude wherever I can and one of the ways I do that is by sending hand stamped cards when they place an order.  I write a little note on a slip of paper and leave the card blank so they can use it themselves if they wish. So it's happy mail but also useful-in-the-future-mail!  It's not always a thank you card but this time it is because the little sentiment in the upcoming Fern & Flora bundle fit just right!

  I really had fun with all the layers on this design and it was a great chance to play around with the Fern & Flora bundle which will be available May 5.  I pulled the colors from the Painted Illusions DSP which was the February 2026 Product of the Month and as of today you can still get it for $5 when you place an order of $75 or more.  The layout is from a Paper Players sketch challenge from last month; perfect when you want a lot of layers!

  I started with a Basic White thick card base, then a layer of Lost Lagoon which I blended some ink around the edges and added some collage style stamping using the Fern in stamped off Granny Apple Green, the hatch marks in Lost Lagoon and the butterflies in stamped off Pretty Peacock.  

 Next is piece of vellum that is torn on both sides along with a piece of Petal Pink ribbon.  Then is the Painted Illusions DSP cut into a banner shape.  A Stitched Shape circle die cut is the perfect spot to gather the stamped flowers and 2 fern die cuts for the focal point of the card.  I stamped the image in Pretty Peacock and then colored with Blends.  The circle and flowers are both popped on dimensionals.  

  The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock and then tucked under the circle.  I finished with a few Pretty Peacock sequins.

Split Tulips - Stampin' Up!® Sunshine & Tulips

 Sometimes I buy a bundle and then poof it's retired before I feel like I really got to use it (or that the season finally matches up with the theme of the set!).  That's what happened to the Sunshine & Tulips bundle; the dies have recently retired and I feel like we are just now getting into tulip season!  Oh well.  Remind me to make more spring flower cards in January next year! But I'm happy with how this card turned out so I wanted to share it anyway!

  I wanted to use the upcoming new In Colors on another card so I used 4 of the 5 here.  The layout is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  The scale of my images isn't quite the same size as the graphic but hopefully you can see the general idea of the 6 panels.

  I started with a Peaceful Pine card base, then die cut the full tulip panel in another piece of Peaceful Pine and cut it down to the 2 middle rows.  I edged the top and bottom with a length of Peaceful Pine Bordered ribbon.

Next, I used the large tulip panel die again and cut out 2 flowers in each of the other 3 new In Colors; Crisp Cantaloupe, Hydrangea Hue and Barely Blush.  Then I snipped each one in half and used the dark Blends marker of each color to darken half of the flower.  I put them back together with a dimensionals so each flower has a half and half look.  This is a great way to get a darker version of your cardstock when you need just that little bit darker shade for a project.

  Then I die cut the separate leaves and and darkened them also with the dark Peaceful Pine Blends marker and adhered them to the leaves on the card front.

  Finally I added the sentiment and some Crisp Cantaloupe 2026-2028 In Color Dots.

Golden Hello - Stampin' Up!® Fern & Flora

   Today's card is a bit of sneak peek of some new products that will be released next month!  I'm using 2 new In Colors and a new bundle!  My inspiration comes from the Alphabet Challenge and the letter Y for 'yellow flowers'.

  So far I'm really liking the new In Color Golden Glow and I've used it for the base on this card.  2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP is also used in the same color for the stripes.  The edge of the DSP is accented with a piece of Peaceful Pine DSP (also a new In Color) that is roughed up.

  The 'hello' is stamped in Peaceful Pine ink using the Simple Alphabet stamp set on a 1 inch wide piece of Basic White.  I stamped the small cluster of flowers from Ferns & Flora in Peaceful Pine ink and colored them in with Blends.

  The flowers and a fern sprig are die cut and then added to a die cut oval from the Filled With Sweetness die set.  I trimmed the edge detail off of the label shape leaving just the oval.  The oval is popped on dimensionals over the sentiment band.

  A few Golden Glow die cut flowers are added above the oval.  2 Peaceful Pine In Color Dots are the only embellishment to finish this design.

Sunburst Smile - Stampin' Up!® Capturing Smiles

   I hope you're all enjoying a sunny day wherever you are!  The nice weather at my house is making me want to spend some time outside but still get to everything on my to-do list so I've pulled a patio chair out to the middle of my yard so I can type this with the sun on my face!  Sunshine, blogging and Labradors lounging at me feet seems like the perfect way to finish up this day!  

  My card today is a fun one using an Online Exclusive bundle and the sunburst technique.  My colors come from the Color Dare challenge which is to use shades of yellow plus one color of my choice.  

  The card base is Basic White thick, then I scavenged through my DSP to find some shades and patterns that would work well together for a sunburst background.  Once I had that panel made I cut it down a bit using the Perennial Postage dies.

  My plus one color for this challenge is Azure Afternoon which I used for the cardstock for the camera.  I stamped it in Memento black and then used my Blends marker to darker a few areas of the camera.  I built up the different piece of the lens and then finished it off with a Daffodil Delight heart in the center.  The heart is cover with Clear Wink of Stella for a fun sparkle.  

  Black baker's twine is tied to the camera for the wrist strap detail and then the sentiment is stamped and fussy cut.  Both the camera and the sentiment are popped on dimensionals.  2 Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots are the finishing touch.

Sweet Strawberries - Stampin' Up!® Homemade Sweetness

   The CAS Colours & Sketches team is back today with a brand new challenge!  This time Deborah has some fun colors for us to work with!  We've got Strawberry Slush, Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock.

  I thought these colors would be perfect for a sweet strawberry card using the Homemade Sweetness bundle!

  I started with a white card base and then added one of the die cut label shapes in Summer Splash (it's really hard to tell Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock apart on a screen but I promise I used them both on my card!) and then cut it again in white and trimmed the oval down to use that for my sentiment which is stamped in Basic Gray.

  The strawberries are stamped in Basic Gray and then colored with Stampin' Blends.  I die cut them and popped them up around the label.

 Since we're keeping it clean and simple I added just 2 Summer Splash dots as the only embellishment.

Hello Spring - Stampin' Up!® Simple Alphabet

 I was scrolling the list of challenges I regularly play along with and one of them had "weather" as the theme so I dug through my supplies, pulled a few things out and got to work and ended up with a decently cute card I think.  The only problem?  The challenge was supposed to be a clean and simple card but my finished product is not CAS. Oops!  I clearly was not paying enough attention but at least I have a card to share today!

  I was able to use some retired DSP as well as a panel that was embossed that was in my scrap bag.  It's always satisfying using some (hoarded) paper!

  The Rain or Shine DSP retired several years ago but I had a bit of the umbrella pattern left and thought that would fit the weather theme.  Looking at the colors in the paper Balmy Blue seemed like a good one to use to make a frame and as luck would have it I had a panel of it already embossed with the also retired Raindrops embossing folder.  I used the smaller of the Gallery Blooms frame dies.

  I wanted to to use a new alphabet stamp set that will be released soon as I hadn't gotten it inked up yet.  I love the font of the Simple Alphabet set and used Balmy Blue and Old Olive (another color in the DSP) to stamp and trim banners which I popped on dimensionals over the frame.  They are a great size for doing scrapbook page titles as well as greetings for cards.  

  Needing to add something else (and completely blanking on the fact that I should have been making a CAS card) I stamped the sun from the Choose Happy stamp set and colored, fussy cut and popped it up on a dimensional. A few blue iridescent sequins finish this design.

Flirty Peony Birthday - Stampin' Up!® Simply Beautiful

 I'm hosting the newest challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches today!  I designed what I think is an interesting sketch and I hope you'll join in and share your creation in the gallery!  What shapes will you use??

   I went with an obvious choice of a flower for my shape but I have some other ideas too that I might just have to try with this layout.

  I wish that I were a better color-er to do this big flower justice but it is what it is!  I wanted the bottom flower to be a bit more bold to draw the eye down to the sentiment so that part works I think!

  The card base is Basic White thick, then the stamping on a piece of Basic White die cut with the Textured Notes dies.  I stamped the outline in Basic Gray and used the Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo and Shy Shamrock Blends for the coloring.

  The sentiment is from the Banner Sayings stamp set and I embossed it in white onto Shy Shamrock cardstock.  The banner is cut with the Stylish Shapes dies and is popped on dimensionals. The edges of the banner are accents with Iridescent Faceted Gem.

Soccer Match Birthday - Stampin' Up!® Match Day

   My card today is a preview of an upcoming bundle that will be released in early March with the next batch of Online Exclusive products!  I was really excited to see the Wonderful Match Suite and all the soccer/football possibilities!  Both my boys have played soccer since they were very little so we have a ton of soccer seasons under our belts along with all the photos and memories! Hopefully having this suite will kick start some scrapbooking of those fun memories but for now I started easy with a card to just play around.

  I was inspired by the card sketch at Scrap-n-Sketch but instead of a tag I swapped a banner and I hope that's ok!  I wanted to mimic the shape of the flag stamp and I the tag shapes I had just weren't right.

  I started with a Basic Black card base then a layer of A Wonderful Match DSP in this fun turf/goal netting pattern.  I added the band at the bottom with Basic Black and Azure Afternoon with the birthday sentiment embossed in black.

  The banner is Basic White and is cut with the Party Banners dies.  I stamped the flag directly onto the banner and added the #1 to it. The ball and jersey are stamped and die cut.  I colored the jersey, flag and added a bit of shading on the ball with Stampin' Blends. The jersey is popped on dimensionals.

  My favorite thing on this card is the silver whistle!  Isn't it cute?  I used a bit of retired Brushed Silver paper and added some black baker's twine for the cording.  The whistle is popped on dimensionals also.  I added a sneaky glue dot just under the sleeve of the jersey to press the twine into so it would stay in place and not flop off the side of the card.

  I'm excited to continue to use these suite products and I hope you don't get tired of soccer themed cards!

Beautiful Birthday - Stampin'Up!® Simply Beautiful

 I'm enjoying the new Simply Beautiful bundle and have made a few cards with it but I've kept to the color palette of the coordinating Lovely & Beautiful DSP so I wanted to try some very different colors than what the samples show in the mini catalog.  My husband got me the Color Cubes for Christmas and I used them to pick out my palette for this card.  I used the Sunday Stamps Challenge for the layout; it was perfect to highlight the smaller flower and bud image in this bundle.

  I don't think I would have put these colors together but I love how they work!  The card base and next layer are both Secret Sea and the background layer is stamped with the flower bud image using Secret Sea ink for a nice tone on tone look.

  Next is a layer of Basic White embossed with the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder.  The top edge has a bit of Calypso Coral tucked behind it which has a bit of a roughed up edge for more texture.

  The images are all stamped in Secret Sea and then colored in with Stampin' Blends markers.  I love how vibrant these colors are and how they pop against the darker background.  After they were die cut the two buds are adhered flat against the card front and the bigger flower is popped on dimensionals.

  I didn't want to cover up any of the image so I stamped a small birthday sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and popped it up on the bottom corner and accented it with a gem.

Beary Sweet Celebration - Stampin' Up!® Valentine Kisses

   

  The New at SU blog hop is back with another round of fantastic projects to inspire your own creativity!  We're a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the work and we love to share with you.  This time we are sharing new(er) Stampin' Up!® products using the same card sketch.  It's amazing to see all the different ideas with the same layout!

  This is what we're working with:

  I'm showcasing the Valentine Kisses bundle this month.  You can find this bundle in the Online Store in the Online Exclusives section.  While it's Valentine's Day themed I made more of a general celebration card which could be used for a birthday or other special occasion day.

  I used some of the pretty DSP from the 12 Days of Advent Crafting Calendar for my color palette starting with a Misty Moonlight card base.  The bear is stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends markers and the fun part of this die is that it cut slits above and below the bears arms so you can tuck various things in his arms.  I went with the bouquet to coordinate with the DSP.

  The bear is popped on dimensionals on a Perennial Postage die cut and a piece of Misty Moonlight.  For the 2 smaller panels on either side I flagged the ends for interest and used the tiny heart stamp on the Pretty in Pink on and then used another piece of the Advent Calendar DSP for the other in an Old Olive leaf pattern.

  The sentiment is stamped and added to the center, a die cut heart with a gem and a baker's twine bow are added for more detail.

Love You Bear - Stampin' Up!® Valentine Kisses

 I've had the Online Exclusive Valentine Kisses bundle for a bit of time already and it hasn't seen any ink until this card!  I needed to make a card using the color combo that I challenged my customer with this past week.  These are definitely not traditional Valentine's Day colors but I think they look pretty good for a 'love you' card nonetheless!

  I started with some Floral Delight DSP for the top and bottom of the card front.  I added a narrow strip of Pumpkin Pie embossed with the tiny sentiment from the Banner Sayings stamp set.

  The bear is stamped in Memento Black and then I added a bird to each shoulder.  The images are colored in with Stampin' Blends and then the panel is popped on dimensionals.

  After these pieces were all adhered I though the middle needed something more so I cut a few of the scalloped trips in Basic White and added them below the sentiment strip.  Luckily the dimensionals on the bear panel weren't in the way and I could tuck the scallops underneath.

  I added 2 retired Faux Glass Dots in Pumpkin Pie to finish off the details.

Polar Delivery - Stampin' Up!® Jolly Delivery

 I had a bit of fun combining 2 challenges for this card.  The colors are from The Color Throwdown and are fabulously bright and the layout is from SUO Challenges which is quite similar to last weeks Freshly made Sketches layout that I missed playing along with so I'm getting a second chance with this one! I thought these colors would be great for a birthday card but then ended up making a Christmas card instead!

  I translated the challenge colors into Stampin' Up!® Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush and Lemon Lime Twist and made the fun paneled background with pieces of Florals in Bloom DSP (Strawberry Slush) and retired Friends of the Ocean DSP (Pumpkin Pie).  I adhered the DSP to a piece of Basic White and then adhered that to the Strawberry Slush card base.

  I love the bear in the Jolly Delivery stamp set and that was the perfect way to not only have some white to contrast with the bright colors but also to have the 3 challenge colors represented with the gifts on his back.  The bear is highlighted with a bit of Pool Party Stampin' Blends and then the gifts are colored as well.  He's mounted on dimensionals on a Lemon Lime Twist Spotlight on Nature die cut circle.

  The sentiment is added under the bear and a bit of retired Pumpkin Pie twine tucked under.  I had to dig through a lot of retired embellishments to find some Lemon Lime Twist ones but luckily I had some Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins that did the trick! And I added a pink one to the LLT gift since that one doesn't have a bow.

 And finally I used clear Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle to the gifts as the last detail to finish off this bright, non-traditional Christmas card.
