Blue Dino Birthday - Stampin' Up! Dino Days - Paper Players 530

The team at The Paper Players is back with a brand new challenge.  Ann has given us a wonderful sketch to work with this time.  Lots of possibilities with the shape and the bigger background panel.  What are you going to make???

I decided to do a kids birthday card using my neglected Dino Days stamp set.  I don't have much need for kid birthday cards these days but it's nice to have some on hand just in case.  The Dinoroar DSP was perfect for the background!

So fun right?  The sketch does say 'any shape' and a T Rex is a shape right?  All the stamping is pretty basic and straightforward.  I did die cut the circle details in a piece of Whisper White and then backed it with some Old Olive for a fun detail.

And I did a pink version as well!  I used the triangle detail die and backed those with Pool Party.

Check out all the fabulous ideas from the rest of the Paper Players Design Team:

  1. Adorable cards, Amanda! I love the pink version with the ribbon on the neck. What a wise idea to have a couple of kid birthday cards on hand...especially when you still have this cute retired paper left. Thank you for making my sketch shine this week!

  2. I love when I pop by a blog and it's a two for one! Love both your dino cards Amanda! Why is it about dinosaurs that just make me smile? Two darling cards and I am sure they will come in handy one day! Have a great week!

  3. Such a cute cards!! Love both the color choices!

  4. Oh my gosh, these are both wonderful! I love this set and even though I don't have the papers, I am always happy to get them out and play with them! Love the little diecuts with the colors peeking through!

  5. Such adorable kids cards! Love the fun dinos and the fabulous patterned papers!

  6. Amanda, both of these cards are just full of cuteness!! The Mango Melody dinosaur is having a blast and just too funny. His Lovely Lipstick friend is strutting his stuff. LOL I love them both. Enjoy the rest of your week.

  7. Amanda, of course they are! Just love the die cut details in your panels!

  8. Oh my goodness, are these cards ever adorable, Amanda! T-Rex is most certainly a shape. (That cracked me up!) Of course, I'm partial to that bodacious bronto with the pretty pink color palette. That little scarf totally completes his look!

  9. I love everything about your his and hers dino pair Amanda - love the DSP and diecut detail on the panels, as well as the dinosaurs themselves of course! Perfect birthday standbys too!
