Posy of Daisies - Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight

It's funny once you have lots of time on your hands and can stamp with all of your stamps without worrying about showing new stuff and preparing for classes how much you gravitate towards certain stamps.  I've used the Daisy Delight stamp set and daisy punch a lot this spring.  I think I had forgotten what a cute set it is after the initial newness wore off.  I'm sorry that this set is retiring but I'm getting a lot out of it now for sure.

I made this card for my mother in law's Mother's day card.  She loves flowers and purples so I chose a pastel palette with Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam as the main colors.  I used the Freshly Made Sketches challenge which is closing shortly.  I deviated a bit from the layout but I think you can still see the basic idea.

The card base is Whisper White thick, then a layer of Soft Sea Foam embossed with the Tin Tile embossing folder.  Next, to keep with the sketch, I added 2 panels of the retired Mercury Glass acetate which is lovely and I wish it was a regular item in the catalog.

The daisies are stamped with Versamark onto Purple Posy cardstock then embossed in white.  Each flower is actually 2 stamped images layered for a nice full look.  The centers are stamped in Daffodil Delight and cut out by hand.

The leaves are stamped on Pear Pizzazz cardstock with Pear Pizzazz ink then fussy cut.  The left most flower as well as the sentiment are popped on dimensionals.  A bit of retired shimmer ribbon in Pear Pizzazz highlights the sentiment.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
