Tulip Thank You - Stampin' Up! Flowering Tulips

Good morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend full of fun and lots of time to stamp!  I spent some time in my stamp room playing with a bunch of challenges as well as just having fun with my stamps with no particular 'to do' list in mind.

The Tic Tac Toe Challenge has a fun board to choose from this time and it was hard to choose which line to go with.  I wanted to use my Flowering Tulips bundle some more so I pulled that out and got to work on my card using flowers, pink or purple and CAS.

Even though this card has some layers I consider this one CAS because it's uncluttered with open space and a limited color palette.  The Tulips really pop against the white and gray wood grain background.  The Heart & Home DSP has lovely patterns on both sides but these white/gray wood designs are perfect when you want to add just a little something to without going overboard.  And since this card was to be CA it's the perfect choice.

I used the Sale-a-Bration paper Simply Marbleous to die cut the tulips. The two different patterns really add a nice touch to the flower petals.  I made one fuller blossom and one bud with Pear Pizzazz stamped leaves and stem.  A narrow strip of Blushing Bride under the DSP anchors the sentiments which is stamped in Basic Gray and punched out.  I added a bit of crinkled seam binding ribbon behind it for a little shine.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

  1. Definitely a CAS beauty Amanda! The tulips really do pop nicely against the woodgrain panel and I love that you die cut them from the marbled dsp for a unique look. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!
