Nature Get Well - Stampin' Up! Nature's Harvest

Yesterday I need to take a break from creating with new products for an upcoming class as I just couldn't get going on a projects that I liked.  So I decided to head back to a favorite stamp set that is still around but I haven't used in a while. The Nature's Harvest stamp set from the last mini is one that has carried over and it works perfectly with the colors over at CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  I made a clean and simple get well with these beautiful colors.  At first I thought they would be too dark together but with a big dose of white as well as white space I think they definitely look great together.

The card base is Early Espresso with the images stamped and embossed onto watercolor paper.  I had some long retired Early Espresso embossing powder which was perfect for my idea of watercoloring the image.  If I stamped the image in Early Espresso it would have bled and smeared so the embossing allowed me to keep the image nice and crisp.  I used ink and a blender pen to add the color.

I edged the piece of watercolor paper with a length of Evening Evergreen open weave ribbon  The sentiment is stamped and die cut and popped up on dimensionals.  A few champagne rhinestones are the finishing touches.

This was a fun color combo to work with and very unexpected when we are all looking towards spring and pastel colors are all around us.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

  1. Love this Amanda - a great non-festive use of these rather tricky colours I thought! Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours and Sketches this week!
