I'm getting in under the wire to enter this card into the challenge gallery. The Inspired By challenge has this lovely inspiration photo (see the end of my post) with just gorgeous colors and/or a fun layout. I didn't stray at all from either the colors or layout, just flipped the stripes to the other side of the card. I thought it makes for a fun scrappy background and the colors seem to lend themselves to a guy card so that's what I'm going for.
Nothing to this one but scraps torn to different lengths, a white embossed sentiment on a black circle and a few sparkly black gems.
One thing I would do differently is to check to make sure all my scraps are squared up before adhering them to the card front. Somewhere along the way one of the layers isn't quite square and then the rest just send up a little slanted.
But I love cards that use up the skinny scraps that I just can't seem to part with and this one is as easy as can be! I added a birthday sentiment on the inside as I'm always low on guy birthday cards.
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
