Penguin Wishes - Stampin' Up! Penguin Place - Paper Players 569

Ann Marie has a fun sketch for us this week at The Paper Players.  Let's see all your creativity with these panels!

I let the Penguin Playmates DSP from Sale-a-Bration do all the hard work for the panels.  I like the smaller patterns and colors as a nice background for my chilly penguin.

Using some retired Snowfall Accents Puff Paint that I was surprised still puffed I made a snowbank on a circle cut from Fresh Freesia for my embossed penguin to sit upon.  I gave him a scarf and hat and a little tree to the side.

The sentiment from Banner Year is cut apart and then popped on dimensionals and then I accented the sides with some retired snowflake accents and Elegant Faceted gems.

I'm definitely going to be using this layout again as it's a great way to show off a few different DSP patterns and it has lots of options for the 'any shape' in the center.

The rest of the Paper Players Design Team has wonderful ideas for this challenge so definitely check them out and then play along!

Anne Marie

  1. I agree that this layout is fabulous! Your card is just as sweet as can be, Amanda! I tried using puff paint a few weeks ago and it was a brand new bottle and when I put it on it looked fabulous and then the next day it leveled itself and became sticky. Now when I stack my completed Christmas cards the cards stick together. I guess I got a bad batch! Have a great day!

  2. Amanda your little penguin is adorable and I love the puffy snow! A great mix of papers and the addition of the tree and the snowflake sequins are great extra touches. So cute!

  3. CUTE!! love the puffy snow, so fun!

  4. LOL, I love your puffy snow...I probably have some of that stuff still sitting around too! I should check it out! Your penguin seems quite content on it! Love the background papers too...good use of that SAB stuff!

  5. Amanda, this little penguin is so CUTE!!!!! The mix of patterns is fabulous and the puffy snow steals the show! SOOOO FUN!!!!!

  6. Oh my gosh...this is so adorable, Amanda! The puffy paint is the perfect touch. I can't believe I had forgotten all about it. Of course, those papers are a wonderful mix of patterns and colors. Have a wonderful weekend!

  7. Amanda, this is the cutest penguin I've seen! He's so comfortable on that perfect, puffy cloud. Your puffy paint puffed beautifully! Love this.

  8. That puff paint is literally one of my favorite products EVER! I love that snowy scene you created for that cute penguin. The dimension from the "snow" is awesome! You rocked my sketch this week, WOW!
