Arched Blooms - Stampin' Up!® Impressions Abloom

I'm just squeaking in getting this card posted for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge before it closes.  I loved the arched element but not having any arched dies it took me a minute to decide how to recreate that part of the layout.  But I got it done and the Impressions Abloom bundle was the way to do it!

I started with a piece of the Floral Impressions DSP with those gorgeous colors for the background.  For the arch die cut I used the oval dies in the Impressions Abloom die set and just trimmed off the bottom curve.  There's always a way, sometimes you just have to look!  I used Misty Moonlight for the edge and Basic White for the center.  The Glass & Garden embossing folder gives the Basic White panel a nice bit of texture and carries on the floral theme.

Once I trimmed off the lower part of the ovals the arch was a bit short so gave the impression of it being longer by added a wider band of Old Olive cardstock for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Bloom Phrases stamp set and is embossed in white.  A bit of retired Misty Moonlight ribbon is tied around the strip.

For the flowers I layered Fresh Freesia and Petunia Pop ink, the centers are Peach Pie with stamped off Pecan Pie over-stamping. The leaves are stamped off and full strength Old Olive ink.

The little sprinkle of flowers by the sentiment are die cut from Petunia Pop cardstock.  The centers are small rhinestones.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
