I'm so honored to be a guest designer over at The Color Throwdown challenge this week! I was picked as a Featured Stamper for my Birthday Tackle card from last week so now I get to play along with this fabulous team of stampers and their color combo! These colors definitely felt like fall to me so I went with it!
So we've got Mustard, Kraft and Terracotta as the challenge colors which I have translated into Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake and Copper Clay for Stampin' Up! colors. Such great inspiration!
I thought these colors would be perfect to make a cozy little house with some fall leaves as accents. I've used a piece of Perennial Lavender DSP in a checked Crumb Cake pattern and then added the rest of the elements.
The Humble Home punch bundle is just too cute and I've loved designing projects with it. I added a bit of Early Espresso as a neutral for the roof and sentiment and Copper Clay is a perfect brick color for the body of the house. I stamped the windows and door in Early Espresso and used Blends to color them in and then fussy cut. A Crushed Curry heart above the door adds to the coziness. The House is popped on a Spotlight on Nature circle die cut and then the whole thing is added to the card front over a linen thread bow.
The Autumn Leaves dies are used to make the 3 leaves and a few Crumb Cake Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots are sprinkled around for the final touch.
Thanks so much to the Color Throwdown team for having me join them on this challenge!!
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
