I'm back today with a bright, cheerful Christmas card using the Home for Christmas bundle. I think the little tree is my most used image from the set so far. Which one is your favorite?
While I've used 3 colors for this card the Azure Afternoon is the most prominent and might not be your first choice for a Christmas card but paired with the pop of brightness from the Granny Apple Green trees I think it works!
The card base is covered with a piece of Azure Afternoon embossed with the recently retired Forever Plaid embossing folder. I blended some of the same color ink around the edges for some depth and dimension. Next is a piece of Everyday Skies DSP in a paint brush wash pattern .
I stamped and die cut the trees then layered them on the die cut and stamped tag. I used a marker to color just the 'joy' part of a larger sentiment. If you don't have markers you could very carefully ink up the word you want with the edge of your ink pad. The tag is tied with both ribbon and baker's twine.
The tree in the back is topped with a die cut glimmer paper star and the tree in front has sparkly sequin ornaments. Behind the tag I tucked a stamped and embossed Cloud Cover flag.
The last detail are some clear Dewdrop Embellishments sprinkled across the front of the card which make me think of little balls of ice; perfect for this season card!
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
