Minimalist Christmas Tree - Stampin' Up! So Many Snowflakes Dies

I'm still plugging away at my Christmas cards and I'm doing pretty well I think.  I have a few designs already made that I can go back and make multiples if I find my inspiration or time lacking to do one of kind cards but for now it's been fun to come up with a few more new designs each week.

My card today uses the CAS Christmas Card Challenge which is "Christmas Tree".  It was fun to make a tone on tone background in white and then top it with an eye-catching tree for this challenge.

This card is really much prettier in person as the sparkle on the tree just doesn't show well in the photo.

I started with a Whisper White card base, then a smaller layer of Whisper White embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  I cut a variety of snowflakes using the So Many Snowflakes dies and adhered them to the embossed panel and trimmed off the overhanging bits.  I wrapped a piece of crinkled seam binding ribbon around the lower part of the panel and tied it off with a knot.

For the tree I convinced myself to finally cut into the really cool Rainbow Glimmer paper.  I used one of the largest Stitched Triangle dies and cut into the green/blue section of cardstock.  I popped it up over the snowflakes with dimensionals and then tucked the flagged sentiment under the edge.   I added a few rhinestones to the centers of some snowflakes for a bit of shine on the rest of the card.

I could make a few more of this design but I might have to go back to hoarding this paper!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
