I'm already looking ahead to the summer with my card today! It's getting close to beach trips and pool days so I've been playing around with a fun summer themed card inspired by the layout at Sunday Stamps challenge. The upcoming Notes & Totes bundle is available to demonstrators early but you'll definitely want to be adding this cute set to your wish list when the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog comes out.
The fun fold down element of this is a cute way to show off some texture. I started with a Crumb Cake base, then added a layer of Summer Splash embossed with the Soft Waves embossing folder. I used another piece of Crumb Cake for the folded down panel but I first embossed it with the retired Subtle embossing folder for a bit of texture.
Next I used the Notes & Totes dies to cut out the pieces for the beach tote. I used Basic White for the edging and handle and Friends of the Ocean DSP for the body of the bag. After the bag was adhered to the card front I got to work on some items to go along with the tote. I die cut sunglasses, a tube of sunblock and a water bottle. It was fun to use colors pulled right from the DSP.
Next I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo and fussy cut the words so they would fit in the open space of the "water". A few retired Sunny Day Iridescent Dots are the final touch for a hint of sparkle.
