I've got another sneak peek of an upcoming stamp set for you today! I got this one during Prize Patrol at the OnStage event last month and this is the first card I've made with it! It's called Along These Lines and all the images are done in a cool "don't lift the pen off the page until it's finished" style. I'm sure there is a drawing technique with a real name for this but that's all I've got! I used the new sketch from TGIF Challenges as well as the color combination that I challenged my customers with a few days ago; Pumpkin Pie, Pretty Peacock and Coastal Cabana.
I didn't really deviate from the sketch at all except to use a banner shape for that one layer instead of a rectangle. I started with a Coastal Cabana base, then embossed another layer of Coastal Cabana with the Forever Plaid embossing folder.
Next I added a piece of Friends of the Ocean in this nice Pumpkin Pie pattern. I cut the banner out of Pretty Peacock with the Birthday Celebration die and then embossed the cake in white. You can't see in this photo but I used gold Wink of Stella to color in the candle flames. I popped the cake banner on dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp set and I used Coastal Cabana ink. A few Faux Glass Dots on the sentiment strip and a twine bow by the cake finish this card. I was thinking it might be a good guy birthday card so i didn't want to add any more embellishments and froof it up too much.
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
