I've been playing around some more with my preorder products and the Impressions Abloom has been out on my stamping desk just about every day! I've used it again for my card today to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
The whole premise of this sketch challenge is to keep your project fresh and clean lined. I thought this color combo would work for my vision. Shy Shamrock, Soft Sea Foam and Melon Mambo are great color combo!
I started this one with a Basic White thick card base then added a layer of Shy Shamrock die cut using the new Textured Notes dies for that subtle look along the edges. When I looked at the sketch I saw the banner element as a pocket so I used the banner from the Birthday Celebration dies to cut a Basic White "pocket". I did trim down the straight edge a bit so the proportions would work for what I had in mind.
Next I cut flowers, stems and leaves with the Impressions Abloom dies. Doesn't that Melon Mambo pop? I tucked the flowers into the top of the pocket and popped up one for dimension.
The sentiment is from another soon to be released set Beautiful Motifs. I stamped it in Versmark and embossed it in white. I flagged the end, popped it on dimensionals and added Sunny Day Iridescent Dot in Melon Mambo. A detail that you can't see in the photo is that I also added some sparkle to the flowers with a clear Wink of Stella pen. It's really subtle but pretty in person.
