It's officially summer break here at my house. The boys finished all of their school work last week and we've loosened up the wake up time. We are hoping the pool club is able to be opened soon so we can have some outside time during the hot days. For now we're in a holding pattern and getting our outside time in first thing in the morning and in the evening.
In the meantime we always have nice indoor activities like stamping when the sun is blazing. I used my Jar of Flowers set to play along with the Daring Cardmarkers challenge which has a great inspiration graphic (see below). So many great colors and patterns. I pulled the checked pattern, the bright summer colors and the glass lemonade jar for inspiration on my card.
The card front starts with a piece of the retired Gingham Gala DSP in Balmy Blue. Next is a Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectantangle stamped with the Many Mates sentiment in Basic Gray. I used up the last of the retired narrow Whisper White grosgrain ribbon scrap that I've used on a few cards lately.
The jar, flowers and stems are all stamped in Basic Gray. The water is Balmy Blue stamped off once. The flowers and stems are colored with Blends (see colors below) and then fussy cut. The jar and flowers are both popped on dimensionals to finish this card.
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
