Hey Autumn - Stampin' Up! Sweet Days of Autumn DSP

The other day I got to introduce my stampers to some of the new scrapbooking products that Stampin' Up! has just released.  I was able to make a few scrapbook pages (my first ever!!) using the Autumn to Remember kit to have on display along with a lot of the new Two-Toned cardstock so they could see what these new products looked like up close. But since my classes have always been card making focused I wanted to incorporate some of these items into a card.  The Sweet Days of Autumn DSP was the perfect thing to use!

This card uses the new DSP, Two-Toned cardstock as well as the Autumn to Remember stamp set along with a few products you can find in the other catalogs!

The card base is Early Espresso and then I used 3 different panels to add texture and color.  The first panel is a piece of Cajun Craze Two-Toned cardstock which is embossed with the Eyelet embossing folder and then sanded down a bit to bring out that white core.  The next panel is a piece of the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP which brings in more great fall color.  The final panel is Old Olive stamped with the oak leaf stamp from the Autumn to Remember stamp set in the same color ink.

I used the Spotlight on Nature dies for the big sentiment which combines two stamp sets (how's that for versatility??).  The 'hey' is from the Saying Hey set and the 'autumn' is from the More Than Autumn set.

And now for the cuteness factor!  Using another pattern from the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP we fussy cut some of the different animals and leaves and added them around the sentiment circle.  The 3 larger animals on the page; a deer, bear and fox are balanced nicely by 3 smaller animals; a bird, owl and hedgehog.  The variety of animals and leaves allowed everyone to create a different card from my samples if they wanted to.  Some people found it hard to decide which ones to use because they are all so cute!  We finished the card with some nice fall colored embellishments by added some Faux Glass Dots.  All of the colors work wonderfully with the colors of the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP.

I'm really excited about the new scrapbooking line and as a long time "Cardmaking Only" paper crafter I think these kits will give me a great starting spot (and confidence booster) for beginning memory keeping but I'm also happy to see that the new line contains many products that can easily be used for cardmaking as well.  The best of both worlds I would say!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
