Sweet Cherry Birthday - Stampin' Up! Apple of My Eye

I'm trying to get back to participating in some current challenges.  I've struggled lately getting cards made and photographed in the weekly timeframe most challenges run for.  This is a card that I made for the Just Add Ink sketch challenge which is ending shortly so I'm getting in just under the wire.

The 3 panels on the sketch give you a lot to work with...DSP, embossed strips, stamped strips or even a combination!  I thought I would pair up some Cherry on Top DSP from the Annual catalog with the Apple of My Eye stamp set from the Occasions catalog.

My birthday card stash needs to be replenished quite regularly these days since I'm participating in the #imbringingbirthdaysback (see this previous post for more details).  I'm trying to make a few more card that are mail friendly...no lumps or bumps from embellishments.

I added some visual interest by cutting out the cherries and one leaf and popping them up on to the scallop circle panel.

The cherries are also covered with clear Wink of Stella.  I am really enjoying using both the clear and the gold brushes to add hints of sparkle on my cards.  It's a great way to have some pop without the lumps and bumps of ribbon or rhinestones.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

Stamps: Apple of My Eye, Bring on the Cake (retired)

Ink: Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder

Paper: Tip Top Taupe, Cherry on Top DSP, Whisper White

Accessories: scallop circle punch, circle punch, dimensionals, Wink of Stella- clear
