Welcome Baby Makenna!

A new baby is always a fun reason to make a card!  I made this one to send to our friends who just had their first, a little girl!  I used the Color Challenge on Create with Connie and Mary from a few weeks ago.  I thought these were great colors to use for a baby girl that wasn't pink! Soft Suede, Pool Party & Wisteria Wonder!

How cute is that little girl owl??  I love making these owls as you can change all the little details and colors and make a different one every time.  For this little girl she's wearing a cute ruffled dress.  I just punch out 3 layers and trimmed the top 2 a bit shorter.  Some adhesive pearls and a bow made from the mini heart on the owl punch finishes off her girlie details.

I the "m" is die cut from textured cardstock....hard to see here but it adds a lot to the card.  I punched some itty bitty flowers and used a matching button on the lower left corner.  The Pool Party ruffled ribbon anchors the "m".

The jewelry tag punch, vintage trinket brad and adhesive rhinestone make up the sentiment.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

  2. So cute! I love personalized cards like this. I always think it would be fun (if I received one of these) to frame it in a shadow box for the baby's room. The owl is adorable. I'm gonna pin this one too!
