Spring Frog Hello

It's going to be another warm day here in the Richmond area!  They are calling for it to be in the low 80s!  My tulips aren't going to last long in this heat....but they sure look pretty right now!  The boys and I even planted some sunflower and zinnia seeds yesterday.  Spring has sprung and seems to be passing quickly by right into summer.  I better make sure I know where our swim suits are!

The card I'm sharing today was created by combining several challenges from Splitcoaststampers (sketch and Virtual Stamp Night) as well as my need for a card to send to the diaconal minister at church.  She's a great lady and is currently in the home stretch of her second pregnancy.  I wanted to tell her how much she was appreciated and to remind her to take care of herself in these last weeks before Baby arrives.

The base is Pool Party that is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  I then used 2 narrow strips of Everyday Enchantment DSP (only a little more than a week left to earn this freebie with Sale-a-Bration!).  I anchored 2 ends of the DSP with Island Indigo designer printed brads.  The top brad holds down the sentiment banner.

The frog is stamped with Stazon and watercolored with an Aquapainter and reinkers.  Little froggie is punched out and mounted onto a Pool Party circle and a larger Lucky Limeade scallop circle.  The whole image panel is popped on dimensionals.

The final touch is a small Island Indigo bakers twine bow up near the sentiment.

Do you have anyone you'd like to show your appreciation for?  Go ahead and make them a card and let them know.  All to often we just assume that people know they are appreciated and don't take the time to tell them.  Take some action in the coming days and send a card to make sure your thoughts are known!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

  1. What a cute little card. What is the size of the card base?? Might have to make one for a friend.
