Distressed Masculine Birthday

So many stamping projects so little time to blog!  The weather has been so nice here lately that we've been spending a lot of time outside riding bikes, working in the yard and just being out enjoying the warm weather.  When it's this nice it's hard to sit down in front of a screen and write up blog posts.  I guess that's why this card is from my stamp-a-stack last month!  My apologies to my local stamping ladies who might have been wondering about the details of this card!

The base of this card is Crumb Cake and is stamped with the Wonderfully Worn background stamp and Crumb Cake ink.  The next layer is a piece of torn First Edition DSP.  The edges of the DSP are sponged with Crumb Cake too.

The "wish big" hand is from the Bring on the Cake set (so many great birthday sentiments!) and is stamped in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  The edges of this panel are also sponged with Crumb Cake ink to carry the distressed feeling throughout the card.  A piece of Baja Breeze is used behind the image panel.  The Decorative Label punch was used on Soft Suede cardstock and cut in half and adhered behind the Baja Breeze.  2 silver brads as accents on the edges of the Decorative Label finish off this masculine masterpiece!  Ha!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?

  1. Nice masculine card, Amanda! I know what you mean about the weather - really want to be outside rather than inside! You're a good mom! Thanks for sharing another great card - have a good day!

  2. Great masculine card! I was wondering how the Wonderfully Worn background would look stamped out and was hesitant to get it, but LOVE the way it looks, so will be adding it to an order soon!
