Autumn Birthday - Stampin' Up! Autumn to Remember

So I get all this wonderful new scrapbooking stuff in the mail yesterday (check out the video that I posted earlier today) and what do I do but make a card!  I can't help myself I guess.  The Autumn to Remember stamp set coordinates with the Autumn to Remember scrapbooking kit but is also perfect for fall cards as well.  I hope to try out at least one of the layouts from the scrapbooking kit over the weekend so stay tuned!

I used the prompt of "Stripes" from the Seize the Birthday challenge to get this card started.  The base is Crumb Cake and then a layer of Country Woods DSP in the nice multi-colored board pattern.  I think these count as stripes right?

The next layer is the new Two-Toned cardstock in Pool Party and it looks so cool after being embossed!  I tore the edges and then used the Eyelet embossing folder on the piece.  Next I lightly sanded it.  I had an old sanding block that Stampin' Up! used to sell but any sand paper would be fine I think.  Just rub lightly to take the color off and leave you with the white core showing!  I love it!  I used the light side of the Two-Toned paper here.

I embossed the sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set on a Crumb Cake label cut with the Iconic Imagery dies.  After stamping the leaves from the Autumn to Remember stamp set I fussy cut them and adhered them around the label using dimensionals.

A linen thread bow accents the maple leaf and 3 retired Pool Party Opaque Faceted Gems jazz up the label.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
