Beautiful Oak - Stampin' Up! Beautiful Autumn

For my card today I've doubled up on challenges.  I used the TGIF Challenges for the layout and the Library Challenge for my colors.  The Library challenge has 3 book covers for inspiration and I chose the cover of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine for my autumn colors; Balmy Blue, Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso.  I enjoyed the book as well when I read it a few years ago so if you're looking for a good read put it on your list!

I started with a Balmy Blue card base, then a layer of Whisper White, then a layer of Early Espresso embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I pulled a length of burlap ribbon from my scraps and adhered that to the card front with Tear Tape, a piece of Cinnamon Cider twill ribbon is next.

The oak leaves are stamped in Early Espresso and then filled them in with Cinnamon Cider stamped off once.  The acorns are also stamped in Early Espresso and filled in with Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso both stamped off once.  After punching them out I arranged them around a Balmy Blue circle embossed with the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder.  The acorns are popped up with dimensionals and then the whole wreath is popped on the card front.

The sentiment is the final part and is stamped in Early Espresso and layered across the wreath.

These were fun challenges to put together and I enjoyed adding this blue to these autumn colors.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
