Tailored Stripes - Stampin' Up! Tailored Tag Punch - Fab Friday 136

Fab Friday is back today with a fantastic color challenge!  I love this combination and think it might be the cornerstone of my Father's Day projects as well as any upcoming masculine birthdays.  Check it out!

You love these colors too right?  I had fun creating a geometric background using the Tailored Tag punch.  I love how the pieces just fit together to make these fun stripes.  I just started in the corner and worked my way down.  The easiest way for me is to adhere the punched shaped onto a piece a Whisper White cardstock that is sized down from my card base.  I used a 5.5" x 4" piece so my Whisper White card base shows.  Once you have the pieces adhered just use paper snips to go around and cut off the overhang.

Since I was making this card to be a guy card I left the sentiment fairly basic combining several dies and stamp sets.

The circles are Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles framelits.  The 'love' is made by coloring stripes on Whisper White using my 2 Bermuda Bay Blends markers and then die cutting with Sunshine Wishes thinlets.  The 'You' is stamped in Basic Gray with the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  The 'so much' from Thoughtful Banners is stamped in Basic Gray onto a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist with the ends flagged (using the Tailored Tag punch of course!).

The whole sentiment circle as well as the 'love' are popped with dimensionals.  The final touch is a silver enamel heart.

Head over to Fab Friday to see the rest of the Design Team's beautiful creations and then play along.  See you in the gallery!
