Stitched Stocking Gift Tag

Now that I've finished cleaning and doing some other chores I can sit down and do some stamping stuff!!

Today I'm sharing the second project the ladies made at my workshop last week.  This one is a really easy and cute tag to be used on gifts of course but it's also a great size that it can be mounted on a card and used that way as well.  Just think how cute this tag would be around the neck of a wine bottle and used for a hostess or thank you gift!!  A bottle of wine on it's own is kind of boring and generic but dress it up with a handmade tag and some pretty ribbon and you've got a great gift!

The tag is from the 2 Tags Big Shot die and is cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.  The strip of DSP is from the Letters to Santa pack.  One sheet of DSP will go a long way when used in just small amounts like this.   You could make all the tags you need out of one or 2 sheets of Designer Series Paper.

The stocking is stamped in Riding Hood Red on Whisper White and then punched out with the Stocking Builder punch.  The cuff, heel and toe are punched out separately with Old Olive textured cardstock.  Those little pieces are adhered with just a touch of Tombow Multi glue.

The final details are the taffeta ribbon loop with a mini jingle bell tied around it with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.  My bow here is a bit lopsided but still super cute!

A few quick punches and some fun embellishments make this an easy project to tackle while watching those Christmas movies on TV!  I liked this project so much I made a bunch more as a little extra something to tuck into my customers order bags last week!  Go ahead and create some tags to dress up your gift giving this Christmas!

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
