I'm delighted to be joining the CAS on Friday challenge as a guest designer for this new challenge! My clean and simple muscles have definitely gotten a workout this week and I was sweating a bit when I got the prompt but it all worked out! We are making clean and simple (CAS) designs with a snowman!
I had to dig into the archives to get this card made! I didn't have any stamp sets (even in my retired bins!) with a snowman and after digging through lots of retired DSP I finally found something that would work! The long retired Let It Snow Specialty DSP came to the rescue with this cute snowman! I fussy cut the snowman and trees and arranged them to the side of a strip of Shaded Spruce on which I embossed the sentiment and small snowflakes.
The snowman and smaller tree are popped on dimensionals for some interest and a small baker's twine bow is the only embellishment.
I'm so glad I've become a bit of a paper hoarder or you might have been subjected to me trying to draw a snowman (the horrors! lol!).
I hope you'll play along with this fun clean and simple challenge and add your card to the gallery!
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
Stamps: Snowy Delights (sentiment), Woodland Scenery (small snowflakes)
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Basic White thick, Shaded Spruce, Let It Snow Specialty DSP (retired)
Accessories: white embossing powder, dimensionals, baker's twine
Love how the sentiment anchors your scene! Very pretty!
