Here is a cute card using one of the free SAB stamp sets, Lotus Blossom:
My stamping ladies made this one at my Open House yesterday. The purples really pop don't they? The trick with this stamp set is in the 3 layers that you stamp to give the depth and detail on the petals. It's a great way to use those Dynamic Duo colors listed on the Color Coach. The lighter color is stamped off once on the final layer so you get the look of 3 colors with only 2 ink pads.
After stamping the flower and sentiment I used the scallop tag topper punch and added a bit of Blackberry Bliss satin ribbon anchored with a staple. I'll be honest here and tell you that I'm not sure I like the staple trend and I can't decide if it works with this card or not but sometimes you've got to try new things or you'll miss out on something great! In this case the staple holds the ribbon down and also doesn't add any bulk to the card the way a bow or knot or brad would. Give it a try and see what you think!
Before adhering the tag to the card front with dimensionals I tore a bit of the Typeset DSP and adhered it to the Old Olive card base.
As a side note the Tag Topper punch, Typeset DSP, ribbon and a pack of colored cardstock add up to just over $50 earning the Lotus Blossom set as a free SAB reward. A nice card design using minimal supplies!
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?

I would have NEVER thought to add a tag to the front of a card. And stapling it to the front is a fantastic way to attach it! I LOVE this idea!!
