Doughnut Celebration - Stampin' Up! More Than Autumn

I'm back with another clean and simple card today based on the sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  The colors come from The Color Hues challenge of Pink & Blue.  I briefly thought that I could make a baby card with these colors but these doughnuts were calling to me and I needed to restock my small selection of celebration/congratulations cards anyway.  Sugar always wins lol!

The sketch called for a shape "other than a square" for the element on the left side of the card.  No problem!  A cup of hot cocoa/coffee and 2 doughnuts are definitely not square!

I used a piece of 2024-2026 In Color DSP in Pretty in Pink for the strip going across the card front.  The cup, doughnuts, heart and cup sleeve are all stamped with Basic Gray.  The coloring is all Stampin' Blends in Azure Afternoon and Flirty Flamingo (I meant to grab the Pretty in Pink markers but FF works too!).  The cup sleeve is a bit of the retired Textured Shimmer paper and it reminds me of the corrugated cardboard sometimes used for cup sleeves so I thought it worked well for that element.  And it's a bit shimmery and that's never a bad thing!

The whipped cream is stamped off twice Basic Gray for a very light look.  The whipped cream, little heart, foreground doughnut and the word doughnuts are all popped up with dimensionals.

To keep the clean and simple look I only added a few retired Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed gems  as the only embellishments.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
