I haven't needed many graduation cards the last few years so when I needed one this week my choice of stamp sets were a little slim! Luckily I have the Whale Done set which has the sentiment that is perfect for celebrating a big accomplishment. I paired it up with this week's Paper Player Challenge. Laurie has given us a fun sketch to work with this time. I always like the ones that have a "any shape" element; I need that flexibility sometimes!
It was a happy coincidence that one of the school colors is blue so when I was looking for some DSP to use in the background this pattern this one from the retired Whale of a Time DSP fit perfectly.
I used the new Basic Borders dies to cut some clouds in the top of the Basic White rectangle panel to add a bit of interest. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed in black. The other school color is orange so I added a bit of Pumpkin Pie cotton ribbon under the sentiment.
The whale is punched out, stamped and adhered to a Balmy Blue stitched circle. The outside fin is popped with a tiny piece of dimensional as is the silver Glimmer paper water spout. Then the whole circle is adhered with dimensionals.
Check out the great ideas from the Paper Players design team and then play along with us!
