The Design Team at The Paper Players is back with a fun new challenge! Leanne has given us a fantastic tic-tac-toe board this week! So many ways to go with all of these choices! Pick a row or column and include all 3 items on your card!
For my card I chose the center down column; Circle, Red and DSP. And I inked up my new What's Cookin' stamp set for the first time.
Every family has a top chef who should be applauded for their cooking and dedication to making sure everyone is fed. This set is a great one to use to make sure that person knows they are appreciated. I love all the little kitchen utensils and coordinating die cuts.
I started with a Gray Granite base topped with a layer of In Good Taste DSP in a nice tile pattern. Looks like a kitchen backsplash to me which works for the theme! Next I cut a stitched circle out of the retired Plaid Tidings DSP. I thought this red plaid kind of looked like a checkered tablecloth and gave me my pop of red.
Next I stamped, colored and cut out various kitchen tools and a few pieces of food to arrange around my circle. I love that cutting board; the wood texture is a really nice detail. I added a bit of Cherry Cobbler baker's twine to make a loop on the handle.
The sentiment I pulled from the Hats Off stamp set and trimmed it and added a candy dot for another hint of red.
Check out the Paper Players Design Team samples and then join along in the fun!
