I'm digging back in the files for today's card share. My stampers made this one at my May class where I was featuring stamp sets with coordinating dies where the bundle pricing was going to be ending with the start of the new catalog. This card uses the Rooted in Nature stamp set and Nature's Root dies. If you didn't get this with the bundle pricing during the last catalog never fear the items are still available just separately.
We did an ink direct to paper technique which had us dripping drops of reinker onto the silicone craft mat, lightly spritzing with water then laying watercolor paper over the top and gently pressing the paper to the ink/water. After you pull the paper up you get a lovely blend of colors and splotches. Each person did theirs a bit differently and the results were all beautiful!
After drying the watercolor paper the die cut leaves were tipped in copper embossing powder and heated and adhered to the card front around the sentiment. I had lots of sentiment choices for my stampers but I went with the father's day theme for my sample.
I want to try this technique again with some different colors for a whole different vibe.

Wild Rococo Rose - Stampin' Up! To a Wild Rose
And today I'm sharing the 3rd and final project that my stampers made at my new catalog party. The To a Wild Rose bundle is a great bargain for a large flower set along with coordinating dies. I really like this stamp set as you don't have to use all 3 layers of the flowers or leaves at once. You can mix and match the layers and even use just the outline images and color them in in other ways. And it's nice to have a big outline flower stamp for all those fun techniques out there.
This card not only shows off To a Wild Rose but all 2 of the new In Colors; Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile. Rococo Rose is a nice medium pink that isn't too bright and works great for a more subdued look than say Melon Mambo.
My stampers made this card using the Stamparatus for perfect placement of the rose layers. We just used layer 2 & 3 and skipped the outline stamp this time. The rose center is Terracotta Tile as well as the sentiment.
The background leaves are stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto the Crumb Cake card base. To keep things simple at my new catalog party we used the Crumb Cake ink on the Garden Green cardstock as well to stamp our leaf sprig. I like the almost watercolor look of this leaf stamp.
Using the Wild Rose dies we cut out the flower and leaf and then adhered them to the card front with the flower being popped on dimensionals.

Sweet Bovine - Stampin' Up! Over the Moon
I think I might have an animal stamp set problem! Looking as my past few stamp set purchases I am very animal theme heavy. I have cats, dogs and now cows! I couldn't resist the new Over the Moon set and these cute cow faces. And they will be fun to color with Blends as well.
I kept this card simple as it was a new catalog party project and I just wanted my stampers to see the new products and get to play with them without a lot of fuss.
With this card I wanted to highlight the Over the Moon stamp set, the new In Color Purple Posy and the Garden Lane DSP.
The cow is stamped in Memento Black and colored with Blends. I didn't have the new In Color Blends yet when I designed this card but the Highland Heather light Blend marker is a good match if you haven't gotten your new ones yet either.
The rhinestone is colored with the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend for a nice coordinating accessory. Pearls can be colored as well so you can always make them match your project.

Bird Love - Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird
I held my annual new catalog party last week so I designed some projects to show off the fun new Stampin' Up! products in the 2019-2020 catalog. The first item on my pre-order was the Free as a Bird bundle as I love birds and I also love the new Stitched Nested (get it? bird? nest?) Label dies. The shape of the dies are great for highlighting images but also sentiments. You'll be sure to see a lot of these dies on my blog in the future.
I keep my projects for my new catalog party pretty basic so that my stampers can make them without a lot of guidance. I wanted to show off the dies, stamp set, Bird Ballad DSP and new In Colors. That's a lot for one card but I made it work....I think! Seaside Spray is the In Color that's shown off on this card. It's a great light blue that is a less "sweet, baby-like" blue than Balmy Blue.

The background flowers are stamped on the Seaside Spray card base in Seaside Spray ink. The feather print from Bird Ballad DSP is adhered to one side.
The bird and branch are stamped with Memento black on Whisper White then colored with blender pens and ink (Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock, Old Olive). The branch and beak are colored with markers (Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede). Remember not to over color with blender pens, it will pill up the paper and make the Memento blur. If you keep a light touch you'll be fine.
Once the image is all colored it's cut out with the Stitched Nested Label dies and popped on the card front with dimensionals. The final touch is a Scalloped Linen ribbon knot in Pretty Peacock.

In Color Flowers - Stampin' Up! Free as a Bird - Fab Friday 166
Hey stampers!! Such a busy month for me but I'm back for this new Fab Friday challenge! Us Stampin' Up! demonstrators are really excited to share some projects using the new set of In Colors. We have a nice set this time around and I think it will be fun to work these in with the regular colors for some fun new combinations.
This time we have all 5 new colors as our Fab Friday challenge. Try to use all 5 but if it doesn't work try for as many as you can.
I managed to get all 5 colors onto my CAS card. That's the only way I could come up with something I like!
I paired up a few new products that just happen to be a bundle in the new catalog. Free as a Bird stamp set and the Stitched Nested Label dies. Instead of using the obvious bird images from this set I went with the cute flower.
The flowers are embossed in white and then fussy cut. I arranged them around the Stitched Nested Labels with the sentiment from Rooted in Nature stamped in Pretty Peacock. Some of the flowers as well as the sentiment panel are popped on dimensionals.
I hope these colors inspire you have some fun with these new colors and share your creation with us in our Fab Friday gallery.
